Translation of chronic pain acceptance questionnaire 8 (CPAQ-8) into Marathi and testing psychometric properties of Marathi version (CPAQ8-M)

Chronic pain is defined as  persistant or recurrent that lasts longer than three months. pain is associated with limitationsin physical, social and psychological functioning. Chronic pain acceptance questionnaire, CPAQ predicts how pain effects both physical and psychological functioning. Items in questinnare are based on acitivity engagement and pain willingness. it is a self administered scale and hence CPAQ remains standardized tool for assesment. this questionnaire is available in Greek,Italian, Germany etc alongside original English version, but marathi version is not available. marathi version is nessesary as it  is local language spoken in maharashtra. The process of translation will include 1. Forward translation - Marathi to English  2. Backward translation - of translated Marathi version to English. 3. Pilot testing - prefinal version will be tested on small sample 4. Finding validity and reliabilty. The translated Marathi version will be CPAQ8-M.
