简要总结

The commonest injuries in sports are musculoskeletal injuries comprising 80% of injuries in sports. Lower extremity movement patterns influence the load and deformational forces on ligaments. This study incorporates the Landing Error Scoring System (LESS) as a tool for assessing jump-landing mechanics; however, a significant limitation of this scoring pattern is its exclusive focus on the landing component. To address this gap, we propose the development of a new scoring system: the Jump Landing Error Scoring System (JLESS). This innovative framework will evaluate athletes not only during the landing phase but also during the jump-up phase, providing a comprehensive assessment of their movement patterns. The jump-landing biomechanics in which lower extremity control, trunk control, symmetry of lower extremity landing, psychological component, knee impact, eccentric working of quads gluteus maximus with stability of hip and knee. To lift the body against gravity to generate the explosive power for quality landing and to dampen the forces when jumping. The parameters which will evaluate a proper jump up characteristics will be included on the bases of the foot angulations, knee initial contact or stance of jump up, hip angulations, symmetry of knee for landing on the box, trunk flexion or extension, maintaining the posture and balance, readiness of the patient (psychological factors). To assess these parameters and make the test more demanding, jump up and landing on the box is more difficult as compare to jumping down from the box. Hence, it was preferred to identify the jump mechanics and its differences from LESS.
