To compare two treatment methods (LASER and classical) for upper frenectomy

- Brief Summary
Patients whofulfilled the inclusion and exclusion criteria will be divided into Group A andB. In the first visit, Scaling will be performed and oral hygiene instructionswill be given following which Routine blood investigations will be done. In the next visit, frenectomy for patients in Group A will be performedby the conventional method; whereas frenectomy for patients in group B will bedone by LASER assisted surgery. Patients will be evaluated for the healing index and VAS on the day ofsurgery, 7th day , 14thday and 1 month after the surgery. Patients will be monitored periodically for oral hygiene maintenance andrecalled for further periodontal therapy as needed.

- Subjects within age group of 18 to 26 years.
- Good oral hygiene at the time of the surgery.
- Only maxillary anterior frena were included in this study.
- All subjects were systemically healthy.
- Subjects being treated with antiinflammatories, antibiotics and analgesics.
- Pregnant or lactating women.
- Having any type of suspicious oral lesions.
