The study investigates the effects of mechanical chest wall vibrators on bronchial hygiene in patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Mechanical ventilation is critical for patients with respiratory failure, but it can lead to complications such as ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) and other pulmonary issues. Effective bronchial hygiene is essential to prevent these complications.

AIMS-To compare and evaluate the effects of a mechanical chest wall vibrator for bronchial hygiene in patients in the Intensive Care Unit.

OBJECTIVE - To determine and compare the effects of mechanical chest wall vibrators with conventional physiotherapy on bronchial hygiene in patients admitted to Intensive Care Unit using ABG analysis and Ventilator parameters.

入选标准

  • Patients aged between Age group 18–75 years for all the genders.
  • Intubated patients in ICU.
  • Participants on invasive mechanical ventilatory support for more than 48hrs.

排除标准

  • patients with any history of Seizures.
  • Open Thoracic Wounds coagulation disorder Subjects with Rib or Sternum Fracture.
  • Spinal Trauma.
  • Pulmonary Embolism.
