Inclusion Criteria
1. Pregnant adult women in the second trimester of pregnancy
2. Should meet the diagnostic criteria for mild to moderate iron-deficiency anemia (7-10.9 g/dl)
Exclusion Criteria
1. Patients with conditions in which IFA is contraindicated: hypersensitivity, hemoglobinopathies, gastritis, recently repeated blood transfusions, ulcerative colitis.
2. Patients who are already part of a different trial or on other medication as part of a trial.
