Inclusion Criteria
- •a.ASA 1 and 2
- •b.Difficult airway (modified Mallampati
- •class IIIâ??IV or inter\-incisor distance
- •\< 2\.5 cm)
- •c.Age group 18\-60 years
- •d.Planned for awake fibreoptic intubation
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\) Nonco\-operative patients
- •2\) ASA class 3 and 4
- •3\) Local pathology of the neck precluding injections
- •4\) Bleeding diathesis
- •5\) Allergy to local anesthetic agents
- •6\) Intellectual impairment or psychiatric
