aged 4 weeks - 12 years, endotracheal tube 3,5-6,5, invasive BIPAP-ventilation per EVITA with Fi02 < 40%, spontaneous ventilation of 60 %.
severe lung pathology, Fi02 > 40%, large tube leak, < 60% spontaneous ventilation, cardiovascular failure (more than 5 µg/kg/min dopamine), neurological disease (e.g. epilepsy, cerebral edema), necessity for neuromuscular blockade or deep analgosedation leading to <60 % of spontaneous ventilation, severe hepatic or kidney failure, missing parental consent.
