- •1)Adult patients referred from pre-anesthetic clinic or pre-anesthetic evaluation for 2D echocardiography as a part of preoperative workup before surgery.
- •2)Ability to complete a clinical echocardiogram on the same day before or after study procedures
- •3)Able and willing to provide informed consent
- •· Outpatients and inpatients being evaluated before elective surgery

- •1)Unwilling or unable to provide informed consent
- •2)Patients admitted in ICU on mechanical ventilator support and/or on vasoactive medications to maintain stable hemodynamics.
