- To study the compliance of various quality indices in mechanically ventilated ICU patients.
Study Overview
Brief Summary
Routine measurement of quality indicators (QIs) through an Electronic Health Record (EHR) or registries are increasingly used to benchmark care and evaluate improvement interventions. However, existing indicators of quality for intensive care are derived almost exclusively from relatively narrow subsets of ICU patients from high-income healthcare systems.
It is therefore becoming mandatory for the institutions to monitor quality indicators/parameters and compare their performance level with the national standard or international benchmarks.
So the aim of this study is to measure and evaluate the quality markers and compare with the international benchmarks. We will select all adult patient admitted in medical ICU on ventilator and evaluate the incidence of various quality markers.

Inclusion Criteria
- •All adult patients admitted in the medical ICUs and on invasive ventilation will be eligible to be included in this study.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Age less than 18yrs Those who refuse consent Those on IMV for less than 12 hours.
Outcomes
Primary Outcomes
To study the compliance of various quality indices in mechanically ventilated ICU patients.
Time Frame: 1 year
Secondary Outcomes
- 1)To compare the compliance with international benchmarks.(2)Impact of raised P-peak pressures on incidence of barotrauma.)
