Patients who are treated at the University Medical Center Göttingen, age 4-18 years old, after permission of the guardian(s)
no permission of the (guardian)s; lack of cooperation; age < 4 years, > 18 years; The patient should suffer from a serious general illness restricting his immune system. This are especially illnesses like: congenital or acquired, severe immune deficiencies, malignant haematological or lymphoproliferative disorders, malignant tumors, HIV-infection. The patient shouldn't suffer any kind of (autoimmune) disorders, which affects his/her salvia composition and/or amount of salvia (f.e. Morbus Sjögren). The patient shouldn't suffer any kind of severe neurological or psychological disease which doesn't allow him/her to take part of this study.
The patient shouldnt suffer any kind of severe mental disability which doesn't allow him/her to agree/disagree in the participation of this study.

Name Time Method The aim of this study is to investigate the prevalence of dental erosion of overweight and obese children in Germany focusing in particular potential influencing factors.<br>One-off survey (questionnaire): <br>Details about diet (beverages, food, snacks)<br>Details about oral hygiene (frequency, fluoride supply),<br>Demographic data,<br>Clinical examination: weight, height,<br>Determination of salivary flow and buffering capacity,<br>Dental examination: ICDAS (International Caries Detection and Assessment System), BEWE (Basic Erosive Wear Examination), DMFT/dmft (DMFT-Index)<br>
