简要总结

The study investigates the effectiveness of the rib raising technique on lung expansion and quality of life in patients undergoing Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG). Post-CABG, patients often experience restricted lung expansion due to pain and immobility, which can impact recovery and overall well-being. Rib raising, a manual osteopathic technique, is believed to enhance rib cage mobility, lymphatic drainage, and respiratory function, potentially aiding in post-surgical recovery. This pre-post experimental study evaluates changes in chest expansion (measured using an inch tape) and quality of life (assessed through the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire) before and after administering the technique from POD-3 to POD-7. The findings aim to provide evidence for integrating rib raising into post-CABG physiotherapy protocols to improve patient outcomes.
