Inclusion Criteria

300 newly recruited soldiers in the Indian army (from regimental centres in the station) will be included and evaluated following their first firing practice

Exclusion Criteria

Those with any current or past history of hearing problems, history of systemic diseases, history of using ototoxic drugs, previous excessive exposure to noise, ototoxic chemicals or abnormal hearing results (hearing threshold more than 20 dB) and with middle ear abnormality on otoscopy will be excluded from the study.
