Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • patients coming to Neurology OPD with symptoms \& signs of CTS of atleast 3 months with atleast one of the following electrophysiology features
  • Median motor distal Latency \>4\.5 ms
  • Difference in Median and Ulnar motor distal latency \>0\.5ms
  • Median sensory latency \>3\.4ms
  • Difference in Median and Ulnar sensory peak Latency \>0\.5ms

Exclusion Criteria

  • Severe CTS with thenar atrophy
  • 18 years of age
  • Not willing to participate/give consent
  • Contraindications for corticosteroid injections (eg: skin infection at site)
  • Traumatic/Neoplastic origin of symptoms
