Patient that will undergo a kidney transplantation with a kidney from a living
donor.
Age between 18 and 80 years old.
Written informed consent
Chronic infections
Diabetes mellitus
Use of immunosuppressive medication (e.g. prednisone) or anti-inflammatory
drugs (e.g. NSAIDs) within 3 months prior to study entry
Clinically significant infections within 3 months prior to study (defined as
fever >38.5)
Hospital admission or surgery with general anaesthesia within 3 months prior to
study entry
Liver disease (ALAT more than three times upper reference limit) or known liver
disease
Previous vaccination within 3 months prior to study entry
Inability to personally provide written informed consent (e.g. for linguistic
or mental reasons)
Inability to undergo PET-CT scanning
History of hematological malignant disease
Documented bleeding diathesis or thrombocytopenia <50 *10e9/L
