1. Patients suffering from hyperuricemia (serum uric acid level above 7 mg/dl in men and above 6 mg/dl for women for at least last 3 months
2. Age 18-65 years
3. Literate patients; ability to read Bengali and/or English
4. Patients giving written consent to participate
5. Patients already undergoing treatment for hyperuricaemia were planned to be recruited on completely stopping the medicines and after wash-out phase of 1 month
1. Overt hyperuricemia (i.e. serum uric acid level more than 10 mg/dl)
2. Secondary gout
3. Severe or advanced cases requiring surgical procedures or orthopedic corrections
4. Diagnosed cases of unstable mental or psychiatric illness or other systemic disease affecting quality of life (QoL)
5. Currently receiving homeopathic treatment for any chronic condition(s)
6. Self-reported immune-compromised state
7. Pregnant and lactating women
8. Substance abuse and/or dependence
