- •All children between 6 months to 18 years of age admitted in Kasturba Hospital and diagnosed to have beta thalassemia major.
排除标准
- •1. Known case of congenital thyroid disorders, congenital heart disease, chronic renal disease, chronic hepatic disease
- •2. Family history of premature atherosclerosis (onset of symptoms <60 years in female and <55 years in male)
- •3. Family history of hypercholesterolemia
- •4. Children with BMI > 95th percentile
- •5. Children with hypertension according to age, sex and height
