Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •Patients (\>18 years old) with neurological physical symptoms unexplained by disease. The following clusters of symptoms will be included:
  • •\* Tension type headache
  • •\* Back and neck pain
  • •\* Pseudo movement disorders
  • •\* Mainly sensory disturbances
  • •\* Mainly motor disturbances
  • •\* Pseudo\-epilepsy

Exclusion Criteria

  • •\* Duration of symptoms more than one year
  • •\* Patients known prior to assessment to have psychiatric disorders other than somatoform, depressive, or anxiety disorders
  • •\* Patients with a primary diagnosis of a severe mood, anxiety, or psychotic disorders requiring psychiatric treatment
  • •\* Patients who are in dispute about financial or social benefit
  • •\* Patients suffering from a major somatic disease, incl neurological disease
