1.Having primary diagnosis of Major depressive disorder with moderate-severe level of severity with above 21 score on BDI-II and with/without anxiety disorder based on DSM-5 Criteria, confirmed by Mini-International Neuropsychiatric Interview (MINI version 7.0.2; Sheehan et al., 2010), BDI-II & BAI.
2.Having stabilized on pharmacological treatment.
3. Working knowledge of Hindi or English.
1.Presence/history of psychosis, mania and serious suicidal risk
2.Presence of alcohol/ Substance dependence except nicotine
3.Presence of higher score (3 or greater than 3) on level of personality functioning scale
4.Clinical diagnosis of intellectual disability
5.Meeting criterion of Postpartum depression
6.History suggestive of head injury, epilepsy and other neurological or neurosurgical disorders
7.Previously undergone psychotherapy for depressive disorder within past 6 months.
