Inclusion Criteria

epidermal type of melasma

-patient giving written informed consent for study

-age between 20 and 50

Exclusion Criteria

-dermal and mixed type of melasma

- pregnant females and females on oral contraception

-patients with active dermatitis

-patients with unrealistic expectation

-patients with history of hypertrohic scars or keloids,recurrent herpes infection
