Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Age greater than 65 years
  • ASA physical status 1, 2, 3
  • Patients undergoing elective supratentorial craniotomies
  • Procedures lasting a minimum of 2 hours

Exclusion Criteria

  • Patients with GCS \<15 prior to the surgery
  • Patients with BMI \> 30
  • Patients with CT evidence of increased intra cranial pressure
  • Intracranial aneurysm or Arteriovenous malformations
  • Patients with history of psychiatric illness and/or receiving neuropsychiatric drugs
  • Patients with history of alcohol or substance abuse
  • Patients undergoing re do procedures
