BACKGROUND: Parkinson is achronic, progressive neurodegenerative disorder which leads to balance problemsand impairment in quality of life. Virtual reality is computer based advancetechnology can help the patients to develop the motor control, functionalmobility and balance.
AIM: To check theeffectiveness of virtual reality on balance and Quality of life in Patient withParkinson’s disease.
OBJECTIVE: Objective of the study is to evaluate the effect of virtual reality over conventionalPhysiotherapy balance exercises on balance and quality of life in patients withParkinson’s Disease.
METHOD: Total 30 subjects ofage 50-70 years (male and female) having Parkinson`s disease will be included in the studyon the basis of selection criteria. The patients will be divided into twogroup. Group A will receive conventional balance exercises along with virtualreality balance training and Group B will receive conventional balanceexercises for 30 minutes,5 times a week for 6 weeks. Static Balance will be assessedusing Berg Balance Scale, Dynamic Balance will be assessed using Time Up and Gotest and Quality of Life will be assessed using Parkinson’s Disease Questioner
Outcome measure will be taken on day 1 and after6 weeks.

- •Hoehn and Yahr stages I to III Ability to walk independently Stable medication Usage With or without deep brain stimulation Score of ≥24 on the Mini-Mental State Examination.
排除标准
- •Unstable medical condition History of other neurological, cardiopulmonary, or orthopedic diseases known to interfere with participation in the study Past history of seizure Use of cardiac pacemaker Vision deficits.
