Inclusion Criteria

• Male or female patient 50-80 years
• Patients suspicious to lung carcinoma (NSCLC) stage I and II or patients by whome the malignancy was excluded after resection (control group 2, for example benign lung disease) or patients with a lung disease (control group 3, eg COPD patients)
• Sufficient knowledge of German and the willingness to participate in the study

Exclusion Criteria

• known active infectious diseases (HIV, HCV, HBV)
• Neoadjuvant therapy or invasive diagnostics
• cancer in the last 5 years (except locally treated skin carcinoma - not malignant melanoma or prostate cancer)
