简要总结
This randomized clinical trial investigates and compares the effects of a six-week Suryanamaskar program and Mat Pilates exercises on lumbar lordosis, pelvic alignment, and core muscle endurance in asymptomatic individuals with lumbar hyperlordosis. The study focused on people who exhibit an increased but painless inward curve in their lower back, a condition known as lumbar hyperlordosis. Over six weeks, participants were randomly assigned to either the Suryanamaskar group, which practiced a series of yoga postures, or the Mat Pilates group, focusing on exercises that target core stability and flexibility. Assessments of lumbar lordosis angle, pelvic alignment, and core muscle endurance were conducted before and after the intervention, providing objective data on the effectiveness of each exercise regimen.
The primary aim of the study was to determine which intervention is more beneficial for reducing excessive lumbar curvature, correcting pelvic positioning, and enhancing the endurance of core muscles in individuals who do not have any symptoms but possess altered spinal alignment. The results from this trial aim to inform physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals in making evidence-based recommendations for non-invasive exercise approaches to enhance spinal alignment and core endurance in individuals with increased lumbar lordosis. By directly comparing these two popular exercise methods, the research provides valuable insights for preventative care and long-term management of postural imbalances.
