Inclusion Criteria

  • •All hospitalized patients with acute exacerbation of COPD presenting to Emergency department of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar those who are willing to participate in the study

Exclusion Criteria

  • •Exclusion criteria :
  • •1\.Previous history of thromboembolic disease
  • •2\.Hypersensitivity to intravenous contrast material
  • •3\.Chronic kidney disease
  • •4\.Pneumothorax
  • •5\.Pneumonia
  • •6\.Congestive heart failure
  • •7\.Receiving anticoagulant treatment
  • •8\.Requiring invasive mechanical ventilation
  • •9\.Requiring non\-invasive mechanical ventilation for more than 24hours.
