Inclusion Criteria
1. Patients aged 18 years and above, 2. American society of Anaesthesiologists physical status grade (ASA 1-2 ), 3.Undergoing general anaesthesia with tracheal intubation
Exclusion Criteria
Patients with history of pre operative sore throat, oral and nasal surgery, upper respiratory tract infections, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pregnancy, mallampatti grade >2, known allergy to study drug, those who required more than one attempt of intubation
