入选标准

  • Women with a singleton pregnancy with a gestational age of more than 37 weeks, a fetus in the
  • cephalic position, induced with intravenous oxytocin in the active phase of labour are eligible for the trial

排除标准

  • 1. <18 years
  • 2. Unable to read and understand the patient information or/and unable to give informed consent.
  • 3. Non-cephalic presentation
  • 4. Multiple gestation
  • 5. Abnormal fetal heart rate pattern (cardiotocogram, CTG) before Syntocinon® initiation
  • 6. Fetal weight estimation > 4500 g (clinical or ultrasonic)
  • 7. Gestational age less than 37 completed weeks

Continued versus discontinued oxytocin stimulation of labour in a doubleblind randomised controlled trial.Syntocinon is used for labour induction or labour augmentation tostimulate contractions. The current recommendation is to stimulate untildelivery. We hypothesize that discontinuation of Syntocinon when theactive phase of labour is established will reduce risk of harm of bothmother and child and labour will progress.
