Inclusion Criteria

American Society of Anaesthesiologists grade I or II, scheduled for elective surgery of duration less than 2 hours under general anaesthesia with controlled ventilation using the endotracheal tube for airway management

Exclusion Criteria

1) Any risk of regurgitation and aspiration

2) Anticipated difficult airway, Mallampati class 3 and 4

3) Cervical spine disease or injury

4) Pregnancy

5) Recent upper respiratory tract infection 6) BMI > 30kg/m2

7) H/o systemic and metabolic disorders
