1.age 50 years or older
2.â??American society of Anesthesiologistsâ?? (ASA) physical status 2 or 3
3.Scheduled for elective surgery under Spinal anaesthesia in supine position
1.Echo cardiography showing EF less than 40%
2.BMI > 30 kg/m2
3.Taking Angiotensin Converting Enzyme (ACE) Inhibitors or Angiotensin
Receptor Blockers (ARB) inhibitor drugs or dual anti hypertensive medication
4.Emergency cases
5.Absolute or relative contra indication to spinal anaesthesia
6.Patients scheduled for unilateral spinal anaesthesia
7.Patients with baseline SBP less than 90 mm hg or mean blood pressure (MBP)
less than 60 mm hg.
8.Diabetic patients with autonomic neuropathy
