Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\.age 50 years or older
  • •2\.â??American society of Anesthesiologistsâ?? (ASA) physical status 2 or 3
  • •3\.Scheduled for elective surgery under Spinal anaesthesia in supine position

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Echo cardiography showing EF less than 40%
  • •2\.BMI \> 30 kg/m2
  • •3\.Taking Angiotensin Converting Enzyme (ACE) Inhibitors or Angiotensin
  • •Receptor Blockers (ARB) inhibitor drugs or dual anti hypertensive medication
  • •4\.Emergency cases
  • •5\.Absolute or relative contra indication to spinal anaesthesia
  • •6\.Patients scheduled for unilateral spinal anaesthesia
  • •7\.Patients with baseline SBP less than 90 mm hg or mean blood pressure (MBP)
  • •less than 60 mm hg.
  • •8\.Diabetic patients with autonomic neuropathy
