入选标准

  • Are aged 4 to 8 years
  • Have idiopathic toe walking or toe walking associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Walk independently
  • Can follow simple instructions and answer simple questions
  • Can demonstrate heel-to-toe gait on request at least intermittently
  • Have sufficient ankle dorsiflexion to safely participate
  • Can walk continuously for up to 5 minutes

排除标准

  • Children with:
  • Neurological or neuromuscular conditions affecting gait other than Autism Spectrum Disorder-associated toe walking
  • Lower limb pain preventing participation
  • Recent treatments likely to substantially alter gait (for example surgery or botulinum toxin injection)
  • Inability to safely complete repeated walking trials
