1. (semi-)residential and out patients
2. partial or fully remitted patients, HDRS =20
3. written consent after comprehensive information by the psychiatrist
4. patient being capable to understand the kind and needs of the study according to the investigators appraisal
5. Age between 18 and 65
6. currently being treated for a depressive disorder according to ICD-10 criteria as determined by the psychiatrist in the respective settings a) bipolar disorder F31, b) unipolar depression F32, c) recurrent depressive disorder F33, or d) persistent affective disorder F34
1. insufficient knowledge of German language
2. acute suicidality
3. comorbidties, according to ICD-10 defined as F= organic, symptomatic mental disorder; F1 disorder due to psychotropic substances; F2 schizophrenia and delusional disorders; F84 pervasive developmental disorders (except F21 schizotypy)
4. Substance use/miss-use during the last 4 weeks
5. medical history of craniocerebral injury and/or loss of consciousness > 5 minutes
6. medical history of somatic/neurological disorders affecting the brain

Name Time Method The main objective of this project is the extraction of predictors and the development of a respective psychometric instrument in order to be able to calculate the risk for developing depression, with significance of bio-psycho-social risk factors and psychpathological aspects.
