Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •This study includes children aged 6 months to 18 years undergoing CBC studies in the Department of Paediatrics in Kasturba Hospital, Manipal.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1.Children with known thalassemia or other hemoglobinopathies
- •2.Children who underwent blood transfusion within the last 3 months of evaluation
- •3.Children undergoing chemotherapy.
- •4.Children with known blood cancer, ITP and other blood disorders.
- •5.Children who are a known case of Iron deficiency anaemia.
- •6.Children whose parents did not respond to calls or could not be contacted.
- •7.Children whose parents deny consent for haemoglobin electrophoresis
