Inclusion Criteria
(1) adults over 40 years of age
(2) a forced expiratory volume in one second/forced vital capacity (FEV1/FVC) ratio of less than 0.70 (70%) based on post bronchodilater pulmonary function test
(3) agree to provide informed consent for the study
Exclusion Criteria
(1) refusal to provide informed consent for the study
(2) inability to evaluate pulmonary function test
(3) unable to visit for follow-up inspection at 12 months
(4) pregnant or have plans to conceive during the research period
(5) respiratory disease other than COPD
(6) neuromuscular disease
(7) a person under immunosuppression treatment
