入选标准

  • The study's inclusion criteria encompassed individuals aged 18 to 40 with a complete set of permanent teeth (excluding third molars), who had recently undergone FOT, owned an Android smartphone, and maintained good oral hygiene. These criteria were aligned with previous studies with the notable difference being the use of various OMM (Oral Monitoring Methods) systems and differing follow-up periods

排除标准

  • Exclusion criteria included individuals with lingual or removable orthodontic appliances, excessive adhesive around brackets, systemic conditions or drug use affecting oral health, cleft palate that could hinder oral hygiene, pregnant or lactating mothers, dental students, and those receiving other dental treatments during the study period, such as extractions, restorations, or root canal treatments. Additionally, individuals with habits like smoking or chewing Qat, patients who cancelled appointments, demonstrated uncooperativeness or inability to comply with examination procedures (e.g., refusal to participate, debonded brackets, or traveled to remote locations), faced challenges in reading or speaking the national language, and those with enamel and dentine dysplasia or craniofacial malformations were also excluded.
