To be included in the healthy control group, the subject must:
-feel healthy and be physically and mentally fit
-not be subject to one of the exclusion cirteria
To be included in the group of athletes:
-the subject must have a sport performance level that is on par with that of national junior athletes OR be competing on a national level in the second league in his or her form of sport OR must have a history of at least 2 years of competing in athletic competitions in his or her form of sport
-the form of sport that the athlete is engaged in should be focused on putting weight on either the leg OR the whole body, such as rowing, triathlon, hockey, cycling, running
-no known pregnancy or ongoing nursing
-no regular intake of pain medication
-no intake of pain medication 24h prior to the study
-no physical workload 24h prior to the study
-no known sensibility disorder
-no known severe illnesses that affect the quality of life (such as cardiovascular diseases, metabolic diseases, musculoskeletal disorders, depression)
-no known introlerance to warming oinment

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method As this is an observational trial to some extent with the only exception being that the subject receives several well-tolerable painful stimuli, no mandatory primary outcome is defined. The aim of the study is to compare the magnitude and characteristics of painful EEG pattern after the study between both groups.
