- •Nonconsenting patient
- •Mallampati Class III and IV
- •history of cervical spine disorders contraindications to Endotracheal intubation
- •Neck swellings
- •disturbed anatomy of the chest or upper abdomen
- •Pleural effusions
- •pneumothorax
- •Inter costal drain in situ
- •Patients requiring rapid sequence induction
- •risk of pulmonary aspiration as in pregnant females
- •patients with full stomach
- •Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease
- •Body Mass Index more than 35 kg/m2
