ASA I and II

Mallampati Class I and II

Exclusion Criteria

Nonconsenting patient

Mallampati Class III and IV

history of cervical spine disorders contraindications to Endotracheal intubation

Neck swellings

disturbed anatomy of the chest or upper abdomen

Pleural effusions

pneumothorax

empyema

Inter costal drain in situ

Patients requiring rapid sequence induction

risk of pulmonary aspiration as in pregnant females

patients with full stomach

Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease

Body Mass Index more than 35 kg/m2
