- •full thickness macular hole
- •Age 60 or above
- •Hole size >500 mcm by spectral domain optical coherence tomography(SD-OCT)
- •Able to maintain prone position for 7 days at least

- •high myopic macular hole
- •traumatic macular hole
- •epimacular membrane
- •vitreomacular traction
- •previous retinal surgery
- •ocular media opacity
- •concurrent ocular disease
- •advanced glaucoma
