Brief Summary

MES combined standard rehabilitation group generated significant higher muscle torque at pre-operative (93.05 VS 83.35 ), post-operative 6 weeks (77.73 VS 69.80 ), post-operative 12 weeks (83.38 VS 74.76) and lower difference of thigh circumference compare to control group at pre-operative (0.83 VS 1.88 ), post-operative 6 weeks (1.33 VS 2.41). Moreover, NMES combined standard rehabilitation has higher IKDC score at pre-operative (53.83 VS 47.61 ) and post-operative 12 weeks (53.55 VS 46.55 ).

Inclusion Criteria

1.Aged 18-50 years old
2.Diagnosed ACL injury with or without meniscus injury

Exclusion Criteria

1.Ipsilateral PCL injury
2.History of surgery at index knee
3.Knee malalignment
4.Neuromuscular disorder
5.Condition unamenable to NMES
