Repetetive non-suicidal self-injury (on at least 5 days within the last year)
Seeking therapy at the Ambulatorium für Risikoverhalten und Selbstschädigung, AtR!Sk, Bern
Able to speak and understand German fluently
Written informed consent is provided by adolescents (if > 14 years by custodians) and by participating parents
Acute psychotic symptoms
Acute intent to harm self or others that requires intensive psychiatric inpatient treatment
Impaired intellectual functioning
Currently receiving psychotherapeutic treatment in outpatient centers others than AtR!Sk, Bern

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method As a primary endpoint the improvement in family functioning (Family assessment device, FAD) will be assessed via adolescents and parents.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method As secondary endpoint we investigate the change in frequency of NSSI (Diagnostisches Interview bei psychischen Störungen im Kindes- und Jugendalter, Kinder- DIPS) by adolescents and the understanding of the function of NSSI (Inventory of Statements about Self-injury, ISAS) by parents.
