Conditions
to investigate and compare the metabolic, inflammatory biomarkers and gut microbiota composition of normal and overweight in a nationally representative sample of Thai adults. Then, associations between will be analysed gut microbial concentrations, clinical-biochemical blood parameters and dietary patterns will be assessed.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Overweight (BMI more than or equal to 23 kg/m2\)
  • Normal weight ((BMI 18\.5 to 22\.9 kg/m2\)
  • 20 years to 50 years of age

Exclusion Criteria

  • Any chronic disease
  • Medication for dyslipidemia, type 2 diabetes or elevated blood pressure
  • History of intestinal surgery
  • Pregnancy/breastfeeding
  • The use of antibiotics, pro\-prebiotics within 3 months
