1. Patients aged between 45 and 70 years old;
2. Patients whose carotid and femoral arteries meet the diagnostic criteria of atherosclerotic plaque;
3. The patients with carotid and femoral artery intima-media thickening were stable flat plaques without unstable active plaques, and the total number of bilateral artery plaques was less than or equal to 5;
4. Patients with carotid or femoral artery stenosis less than 50%;
5. Patients with LDL-C level between 2.59 mmol / L and 8.0 mmol / L, triglyceride level between 1.7 mmol / L and 10.0 mmol / L;
6. Patients who have not used drugs related to improving atherosclerosis in recent 2 weeks, such as drugs for hypertension, heart failure, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, etc;
7. Patients who are willing to participate in the study and can cooperate in the arrangement and understanding of the research contents.
1. Those patients whose age >= 60 years old, obesity, diabetes, hypertension, low HDL-C and smoking combined with more than 4 risk factors;
2. Patients who have suffered from cerebrovascular accident, transient ischemic attack, severe trauma or major operation;
3. Patients with serious diseases related to heart, liver, kidney or hematopoietic system;
4. Patients with mental diseases such as cognitive impairment;
5. Patients with skin diseases and hemorrhagic diseases;
6. People who are afraid of acupuncture; people who are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning to get pregnant during the study period;
7. Patients who participated in other trials.
