Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Age more than 18 years
  • •2\.Sedated, paralysed mechanically ventilated patients
  • •3\.Patients requiring volume expansion

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Refusal of consent
  • •2\.Pregnant females
  • •3\.Persistent cardiac arrhythmias
  • •4\.LVEF \< 50 %
  • •5\.Significant valvular heart disease
  • •6\.Poor echogenic window
