1.Age more than 18 years
2.Sedated, paralysed mechanically ventilated patients
3.Patients requiring volume expansion
Exclusion Criteria
1.Refusal of consent
2.Pregnant females
3.Persistent cardiac arrhythmias
4.LVEF < 50 %
5.Significant valvular heart disease
6.Poor echogenic window
