简要总结

Title: EFFECT OF MCKENZIE VERSUS KENDALL EXERCISES IN TEXT NECK SYNDROME: A RANDOMISED CLINICAL TRIAL.

"Text neck syndrome" is an repetitive stress injury that occurs when the head is flexed in different

directions. while using a electronic device or poor ergonomics cause the cervical muscles to be overused.

for a longer period of time, leading to altered cervical spine alignment. This study compares the effects of

McKenzie versus Kendall exercises in text neck syndrome.

Aim: To evaluate the impact of McKenzie versus Kendall exercises on pain intensity, forward head

posture, functional ability and strength among subjects with text neck syndrome.

Material and Methods: A randomised clinical trial was conducted on 36 participants of age group

between 18 - 35 years and randomised into two groups.

Both the groups underwent 3 sessions/week over a period of 4 weeks (12 sessions) of  35 - 40 minutes of

duration, along with HMP, TENS as a conventional treatment for both the groups. Outcome measures

NPRS,CVA, NDI and pressure biofeedback were assessed at baseline and at the 4th week.

Results: Both groups experienced considerable improvement in pain, disability, craniovertebral angle, and

neck strength (p < 0.001). Group A showed better progress in pain and posture, whereas Group B

improved in disability and strength. Only the NPRS post - intervention revealed a significant between-

group difference (p = 0.047), favouring Group A; the others showed no change

**Conclusion:**The study concluded that both McKenzie and Kendall exercises were equally effective.

Keywords: Mckenzie exercises, Kendall exercises, Text neck syndrome, Pressure biofeedback,

     Craniovertebral angle.
