onsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAID) reduce pain and improve function in hand OA.However nonselective NSAID carry dose-related gastrointestinal (GI) risks.Nonselective NSAID and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2)-selective inhibitors alike bear risks of cardiovascular and renal adverse effects.

Inclusion Criteria

1. Diagnosed primary hand osteoarthritis by America college of rheumatology criteria
3. Visual analog scale 30-60 mm
4. 1, 2 and 3 Kellgren-Lawrence hand Osteoarthritis grading

Exclusion Criteria

1. History of hand surgery
2. History of hand intraarticular injection
3. Use oral corticosteroids in 3 months
4. Use supplementary drugs such as Glucosamine, Chondroitin and Diacerein in 3 months
5. History of other additional treatment such as hot pack, massage and splint
6. Secondary OA hand
7. Hand skin lesion
8. Pregnancy and lactation
9. NSAIDs and CFA allergy
10. On ASA, anti-platelet and anti-coagulant
11. Creatinine clearance < 30 ml/min
