ASA grade 1 and 2
Thyroid surgeries
Normal airway parameters
Exclusion Criteria
Anticipated difficult postop laryngoscopy (as assessed at the time of intubation)
Pregnancy
Anticipated difficult intubation
Uncontrolled diabetics and hypertensives
Obesity or history of obstructive sleep apnea
