All newly detected cases of biopsy proven squamous cell carcinoma of oropharynx, larynx and hypopharynx fit for concurrent chemo radiation or radical radiotherapy, with a KPS > 70 (Karnofsky Performance scale) at the time of presentation consenting for the study will be enrolled.
Patients on feeding jejunostomy, tracheostomy and prolonged Ryles tube feeding.
Previous history of malignancies.
Patients requiring surgery as a part of treatment protocol.
Evidence of distant metastasis.
