- •(2)Critically ill patients
- •(3)Intubated with an endotracheal tube either on mechanical ventilation or T-piece
- •(4)Receiving enteral feeding for the duration of more than 48 hours
- •(5)Eligible for elective extubation
排除标准
- •1.Previous gastric surgery, known gastric anomaly
- •2.Known GERD (Gastric Esophageal Reflux Disease).
- •3.Pregnant patients,
- •4.Morbidly obese patients,
- •5.Patients who do not wish to consent for study
- •6.Patients in whom non-invasive (NIV) is indicated immediately after extubation (such as COPD, cardiomyopathy)
