Effects of stretching intervention on cold sensitivity and arterial stiffness
- Conditions
- Middle-aged and older adults
- Registration Number
- JPRN-UMIN000047674
- Lead Sponsor
- Ritsumeikan University
- Brief Summary
The femoral-ankle pulse wave velocity (an index of peripheral arterial stiffness) significantly decreased in the intervention group but did not change in the control group. However, the brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity as an index of systemic arterial stiffness and the carotid-femoral pulse wave velocity as an index of central arterial stiffness did not change in either group.
