Progression anxiety in patients with brain tumors and their caregivers - ProAn

ongitudinal study of fear of cancer progression, anxiety and depression of patients and their caregivers at all 3 time points (T0 = 3-7 days after diagnosis, T1 = 3 months after diagnosis, T2 = 6 months after diagnosis). In both groups, a considerable number of people reported clinically significant burden. Fear of cancer progression and anxiety remained consistent over time in patients and their caregivers, with depression scores increasing from T0 to T1. The caregivers reported higher anxiety at all time points and higher fear of cancer progression at T1 than the patients. Within the dyads of patients and caregivers, caregivers descriptively reported higher levels of burden more frequently than patients.
