(i)adults aged 60 years or over,
(ii)community-dwelling,
(iii)not physically active at vigorous or moderate levels, assessed by the Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ),
(iv)interested in increasing their physical activity levels (de Jong et al., 2016).
Participants who
(1) are in hospital or reside in a nursing home,
(2) show symptoms of unstable cardiovascular or other medical conditions by self-reported on a health
questionnaire (Skelton et al., 1997),
(3) have moderate or severe cognitive impairment (can neither understand nor write the informed consent
form; and/or cannot follow instructions),
(4) have upper or lower limb amputation,
(5) have had upper or lower limb fractures in the past six months,
(6) have diagnoses of neurological conditions and disorders which would affect functional ability.
