Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •Age 18 years or older of either gender
  • •Have a clinical and radiological diagnosis of ischaemic stroke
  • •Present within 48 hours of onset of symptoms or recognition of symptom in wake up stroke

Exclusion Criteria

  • •Presenting to hospital after 48 hours after symptom onset
  • •Stroke mimics (seizure, hypoglycaemia, toxic and metabolic encephalopathies)
  • •Haemorrhagic or venous stroke
  • •Patients admitted for palliative care or unlikely to survive for 72 hours
  • •Patients who are unable to contact by any means
  • •Patient or caregiver not giving consent
