Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Age 18 years or older of either gender
- •Have a clinical and radiological diagnosis of ischaemic stroke
- •Present within 48 hours of onset of symptoms or recognition of symptom in wake up stroke
Exclusion Criteria
- •Presenting to hospital after 48 hours after symptom onset
- •Stroke mimics (seizure, hypoglycaemia, toxic and metabolic encephalopathies)
- •Haemorrhagic or venous stroke
- •Patients admitted for palliative care or unlikely to survive for 72 hours
- •Patients who are unable to contact by any means
- •Patient or caregiver not giving consent
